ELSA Program

ELSA stands for English Language Services for Adults. At Educacentre, ELSA provides basic level English training for adult immigrants to Vancouver.

Government-funded, classes are free to students and focus on basic conversation, writing and reading. The aim is to convey essential knowledge for a newcomer: health care, housing, employment, banking, legal and political system, as well as other aspects of Canadian society. ELSA also allows students to acquire basic language skills that will facilitate job search and integration. ELSA classes regularly connect with the community through field trips and local speakers.

The ELSA program at Educacentre College is focused on French speaking immigrants and is currently offered at levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5

Taking part in the ELSA program at Educacentre also allows students to access a variety of complementary programs offered in French, basic computer training, volunteer opportunities and much more.
